HIFU
HIFU uses ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production to tighten and firm-up skin. This procedure requires no downtime and the results can last up to six months. Since the ultrasound beams are focused on a specific tissue site below the skin’s surface, there is no damage to the upper layers of the skin and adjacent tissues. PROCESS OF HIFU
- All make-up and skin care products are removed from the face and neck.
- A topical anaesthetic cream may be applied for 30 – 45 minutes.
- Ultrasound gel is applied and the HIFU device is placed against the skin.
- Using an ultrasound viewer, the device is adjusted to the right setting after which the ultrasound energy is delivered to the target area in short pulses of a specified duration.
- You might feel a bit of heat and tingling while the ultrasound is being applied.
- Once its done then the device is removed and the area is cleaned, moisturized and applied sunscreen.
